Terms of Service

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Template notice: this page is a starting-point draft, not vetted legal advice. Have a lawyer licensed in your operating jurisdiction review and adapt it — in particular the escrow, liability, and cross-border compliance sections — before relying on it commercially.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using the Global EV Link website (the "Site") or engaging our vehicle sourcing, export, and logistics services (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Site or Services.

2. Our role as an intermediary

Global EV Link acts as a broker and logistics coordinator between vehicle sellers and buyers. We are not the manufacturer of any listed vehicle and, unless explicitly stated in a signed purchase agreement, we are not the titled seller of record. Manufacturer warranties, if any, are subject to the terms of the original manufacturer and may not transfer across borders or ownership changes.

3. Vehicle listings & pricing

Listed FOB (Free On Board) prices reflect the vehicle only. Estimated CIF (Cost, Insurance, and Freight) figures shown on the Site — including in the shipping calculator — are illustrative estimates based on placeholder or indicative rates and do not constitute a binding quote. A binding quote is issued only after a formal request is submitted and confirmed in writing by an authorized consultant. Listing photos show the vehicle exactly as listed. VIN / chassis details and vehicle documents are released once your escrow payment has been received and confirmed.

4. Quotes, orders & escrow

Submitting a quote request does not create a contract of sale. A sale is formed only upon signed written agreement between the parties. Where escrow is used, funds are held by a neutral third-party escrow provider and released to the seller only upon buyer confirmation that the vehicle has been inspected and matches its agreed condition, or upon another release condition set out in the escrow agreement. Global EV Link does not hold customer funds directly unless expressly agreed in writing.

5. Release of documents, guarantee & cancellations

Payment first. Vehicle-specific details and documents (including VIN / chassis number, further photos, inspection report, title and registration papers, export declaration, bill of lading and any certificate of origin) are released only after the buyer's payment has been received in the designated escrow account. This confirms the order is genuine and the buyer is ready to proceed.

Service guarantee. Our service is guaranteed. Funds held in escrow are not released to the seller until the buyer confirms the vehicle matches its agreed condition, or another release condition in the escrow agreement is met.

Cancellation. A buyer may request cancellation of an order up to seven (7) days before the scheduled shipping date, provided the request is made in writing and states a valid reason. Valid reasons are genuine, verifiable circumstances assessed by Global EV Link on their merits, and we may request supporting evidence; a mere change of mind is not a valid reason. On an approved cancellation we deduct between ten percent (10%) and thirty percent (30%) of the amount paid to cover expenses already incurred on the order, and refund the balance to the original payer. The applicable percentage is confirmed to the buyer in writing before the refund is issued. Orders cannot be cancelled within seven (7) days of the scheduled shipping date or after the vehicle has shipped.

6. Shipping, customs & import duty

Ocean freight timelines are estimates and may be affected by carrier schedules, weather, port congestion, or customs processing outside our control. Import duty, taxes, and destination-country compliance requirements (including registration, roadworthiness, and emissions rules) are the responsibility of the buyer or the buyer's appointed clearing agent, unless a specific service is separately contracted with us in writing. Duty estimates shown on the Site are informational only; actual duty is assessed by the destination country's customs authority at the time of import.

7. Buyer responsibilities

You are responsible for confirming that importing your selected vehicle is lawful in your destination country (including left-hand/right-hand drive restrictions, age-of-vehicle import limits, and emissions standards) prior to placing an order. We are not liable for import restrictions you did not disclose or verify in advance.

8. Disclaimers

The Site and its content, including specifications, range, battery state-of-health figures, and pricing tools, are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that figures calculated by the shipping calculator will match final invoiced amounts.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Global EV Link shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of the Site or Services. Our total liability for any claim arising from a completed transaction is limited to the amount actually paid by you for that transaction.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing law

[Specify governing jurisdiction here — e.g., "These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles."] Replace this bracketed text with your actual choice of law once confirmed with counsel.
