What is battery health (SOH)?
State of health, or SOH, compares the battery's usable capacity today with when it was new. A higher percentage means more of the original range remains.
Why it matters when you import
A battery with lower health gives less range and can affect resale value. Because the car is shipped to a country where you may not easily service it, ask for the battery health in writing before you pay.
What to ask for
The reported SOH, the battery warranty status if any, the charging history if available, and an inspection report. Our listings show the battery health and range for each car, and every car is inspected before export.
Look after the battery after arrival
Avoid keeping the car at 100% or near 0% for long periods, and avoid very frequent rapid charging when you can. Follow the maker's advice for your model.
Common questions
Is 90% battery health good?
For a used car it is generally considered healthy, but always compare it with age, mileage and price.
Can the battery be replaced?
Often yes, but it can be costly and parts support differs by country; ask before you buy.
